Written in plain English, not legal boilerplate. Here's exactly what we do — and what we don't do — with any information about you.
CricketCalc ("we", "us") operates the website at cricketcals.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit, why we collect it (if at all), and how we handle it.
The honest short version: we collect almost nothing. Our tools are calculators that run inside your browser. There's no user account system, no login wall, and no database of what you calculate. You use the tools, get your answer, and that's the entire interaction.
Like almost every website, our web server automatically receives some basic technical information when your browser loads a page:
This is standard server log data. It is not linked to your name or any other personal identifier. We do not use it to build any kind of profile about you, and we do not share it with third parties.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other behavioural analytics platform that tracks users across websites.
This is what most visitors care about, so we want to be clear:
When you enter numbers and tap the button, those numbers never leave your device. There is no network request. Our server doesn't see it. We don't see it. When you close the tab, the numbers are gone.
We do not use browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) to save your inputs between sessions. The only thing stored in sessionStorage is a count of how many calculations you've run in the current tab — used to decide when to show an advertisement. This counter resets when you close the tab.
CricketCalc does not set tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use cookies to identify you between visits.
If the site is served through a CDN (content delivery network), the infrastructure provider may set a minimal session cookie for load balancing. These are technical cookies containing no personal information and are deleted when you close your browser.
Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Your browser makes a request to Google's servers to download the typefaces we use. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. If you prefer to block this, you can use a browser extension that blocks external font requests.
We do not use:
We want to be clear: CricketCalc does not promote or link to betting, gambling, or fantasy cricket platforms. We are a cricket statistics tool, not a gateway to real-money gaming of any kind.
Our Contact page has a form where you can send us messages. If you use it, the information you submit — your name, email address, and message — is sent to us by email. This is the only scenario where we receive genuinely personal information from you.
We use this information only to respond to your message. We do not:
If you contact us and later want your data deleted, just email us and ask. We'll do it promptly.
CricketCalc is free to use and is supported by display advertising. After every three calculations, a brief ad is shown before your result is displayed. This ad slot is where we intend to place Google AdSense ads.
If and when Google AdSense is active on this site, Google may use cookies to show relevant ads. You can review Google's advertising privacy practices at google.com/policies/privacy/. You can also opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ad Settings.
We do not display advertising that promotes betting, gambling, or any age-restricted content. Our advertising is kept clean, relevant, and non-intrusive by design.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws including the GDPR (European Union), DPDPA (India), CCPA (California), or similar laws in your jurisdiction. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and the right to object to certain processing.
In practice, because we collect almost no personal data, most of these rights don't require action on our end. But we take them seriously. If you have any request relating to your data, contact us and we will respond as quickly as possible — and within 30 days for requests under GDPR or equivalent legislation.
CricketCalc is a general-audience website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because our tools require no sign-up and no personal data to function, this is naturally the case — there's nothing to submit except calculator inputs which never leave the device.
If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted personal information to us via the contact form, please get in touch and we will delete it immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we add new features, integrate new third-party services, or when laws change. When we do, we'll update the "last modified" date at the top of this page.
We will never make changes that significantly reduce your privacy protections without making them obvious and giving you time to read them. If we ever make a substantial change — such as introducing a new analytics service — we will display a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
